A derivative of the cross (E.4870 x C-303) x (S.339 x V1 released in 1979 by Central committee on Release of varieties for Madhya Pradesh (central zone, also released in Haryana State in 1977, under timely sown, high fertility and irrigated conditions. Plant height 100-110 cm. stem and foliage light green with tendency to develop yellow flacks on its foliage, profuse tillering, ligulate, auricles green and hairy, neck crooked. Ears clay mid-dense to dense, fully awans white and appressed, glumes white and glabrous. Days to flowering 90 days, Grains amber, semi-hard to hard’, fair bold (45 g/1000 grains). Better field resistance to rusts and shattering than Kalyan Sona.

:

Developed from the cross S.308 x S.331 through pedigree method of selection, released in 1981 by Central Sub-Committee on Release of Varieties for Central zone comprising Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Rajesthan and Bundelkhand region of Uttar Pradesh under normal sown, high fertility and irrigated conditions. It is also suitable for timely sown as well as conditions in Central Zone. Plant height 85-87 cm, with very good synchronous tillering capacity, semi-erect, early growth habit, stem and foliage green, ligulate, auricles purple and hairy. Ears oblong medium dense, fully bearded awns white and appresed, glumes white and glabrous, easy threshability. Grains of Amber check colour, hard, bold (58 g/1000 grains), protein content 11.85 % Resistant to shattering and lodging. Resistant to black rust Moderately resistant to brown rust.

A derivative of the cross Cocorit “S” x Raj-911, released in 1982 in Rajesthan State. Also identified by the Wheat Workshop in 1983 for timely sown, good fertility, irrigated conditions of North Western plains zone. Plant height 100 cm erect with good synchronous tillering leaves erect in early stage ligulate, auricles green purple and hairy, neck crooked. Days to flowering 77 days. Earned elliptical dense fully awned, awans Longs divergent and white glumes pubescent, long and white. Grains Amber, Lustrous elliptical long, hard, brush end tapering, green and non-collared, orense deep, cheeks angular, 1000 grains weight 52 gm. Resistant to black and brown rusts.
